Job summary

Southbridge Care Homes seeks an Executive Director to lead Orchard Villa, a Long-Term Care Home in Ontario. You will ensure resident-centered care, regulatory compliance, financial sustainability, and strong community partnerships while reporting to the Regional Director.

This role requires strategic leadership, sound financial oversight, staff development, and the ability to build a culture of respect and excellence for residents, families, staff, and partners.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in health or social services required.
• Long-Term Care Home Administrator Certification (100 hours) required or in progress.
• Ontario Fire Safety: Training for Owners/Operators certificate required.
• Meets the Fixing Long-Term Care Act (FLTCA) administrator qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive leadership in health or social services or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to achieve Home’s mission and objectives.
• Oversee safe, resident-focused care in line with legislation and standards.
• Direct operating and capital budget planning and management.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate management and staff; foster accountability.
• Ensure regulatory, accreditation, and reporting requirements are met.
• Lead quality improvement, risk management, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain partnerships with residents, families, staff, unions, and government.
