The Executive Director of Sylvite Four-Six will be responsible for leading the organization in its mission to act as a collaborative voice addressing rapid regional growth across rural, urban, and First Nations communities. The Project Manager will provide strategic leadership to advance the eight priority areas for development: housing, childcare, emergency services, labor, training and education, inclusive relationships, infrastructure, and economic development. The Project Manager reports to the Board of Directors and will work closely with the Board, staff, community leaders, and stakeholders to implement strategies, build partnerships, and ensure the organization’s sustainability and effectiveness. This is a remote based position with preference for someone located within the S46 region.
Key Focus Areas:
Strategic Leadership
· Lead the execution of the Community Action Plan, a broad strategic plan with eight priority areas, ensuring alignment with the mission and vision.
· Identify and prioritize initiatives within the eight focus areas: housing, childcare, emergency services, labor, training and education, inclusive relationships, infrastructure, and economic development.
· Monitor regional trends and challenges, adapting strategies to meet emerging needs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Advocacy
· Serve as the primary spokesperson for S46, representing its interests at local and regional levels.
· Foster strong, collaborative relationships with rural, urban, and First Nations communities, government agencies, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
· Advocate for policies and programs that support S46’s priority areas.
Operational and Financial Management
· Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the effective management of resources, programs, and staff.
· Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial stability and transparency.
· Provide detailed reports and tracking of expenditures to meet the criteria of the funding agencies.
· Implement policies and procedures that support operational efficiency and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
· Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor relations, and partnership development, to secure the financial resources necessary to support S46’s initiatives.
· Explore and establish revenue-generating activities that align with S46’s mission.
Board Relations:
· Work closely with the Board of Directors to provide regular updates on organizational performance, financial health, and strategic initiatives.
· Support the Board in its governance role, providing guidance and recommendations on key decisions.
· Facilitate effective communication between the Board, staff, and stakeholders.
Program Development & Implementation:
· Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and initiatives that address the eight priority areas.
· Ensure that programs are culturally responsive, inclusive, and aligned with community needs.
· Monitor program outcomes and impact, reporting progress to the Board and funders.
Community & Public Relations:
· Build and maintain a positive public image for S46, enhancing its reputation as a leader in regional development.
· Organize and participate in public events, forums, and media engagements to promote the organization’s mission and initiatives.
· Develop and disseminate communications materials, including newsletters, reports, and social media content.
Human Resources Management
· Lead, mentor, and develop the organization’s staff, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
· Ensure that HR policies and practices support staff development, retention, and performance.
· Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, social sciences, or a related field or equivalent years of experience.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a not-for-profit organization, with a focus on regional development, community engagement, or related areas.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing rural, urban, and First Nations communities, particularly in the context of rapid regional growth. Experience with setting and implementing process and procedures for an newly formed entity.
Skills:
· Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
· Proven track record in fundraising, resource development, and financial management.
· Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
· Cultural competency and experience working with diverse communities, including First Nations.

Salary Range
Pay: $115,000.00-$150,000.00 per year depending on experience
