We are searching for an Executive Chef to join our Parkland West Bedford team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

About the Opportunity

  • Selects, shapes, and develops the team
  • Providing leadership and overseeing provision of food services
  • Providing catering services for internal and external events
  • Providing input into division menu development
  • Liaising with the Health Services Team to ensure clients receive the appropriate therapeutic menu modification as indicated by their medical condition

About You

  • You have your Journeyman Cooks papers from an accredited institution
  • You have a recognized Food Safety Certificate
  • You have a minimum of two years in a leadership role in food services
  • You have experience in volume food preparation in the hospitality or long-term care sector.
  • Previous management experience is an asset, as well as any other Alzheimer’s or Dementia training courses are considered an asset.
