Position Summary
Best known for its flagship festival, Folklorama is a vibrant not-for-profit organization that operates 365 days a year, bringing people together by sharing ethno-cultural experiences and education. At this time, Folklorama is seeking a community-minded, goal-driven individual to join the team as Executive Assistant on a term basis.
The Executive Assistant (term) is directly responsible to the Executive Director for the management and coordination of general administrative functions of the office of the Executive Director, as well as overseeing special project areas as assigned.The Executive Assistant (term) always acts in the best interest of the Executive Director, anticipating their needs and maintaining a high level of confidentiality, tact, and discretion.

Terms of Employment
Start date will beSeptember 2nd, 2025.The position term will be 14 months minimum, with the possibility of an extension to 20 months.Schedule is typically 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.Evening work will be required for monthly meetings and on an as-needed basis.Overtime may be required during the weeks of the Folklorama Festival; applicants must be available evenings and weekends during this time period.
Location
Job will be performed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with the main work location being at Folklorama’s Head Offices at 2nd Floor, 183 Kennedy Street.The Executive Assistant (term) will be required to attend occasional meetings and events within Winnipeg at offsite locations.
