Job summary

Pacific Blue Cross in Burnaby, BC is hiring a permanent Executive Assistant to support our senior leaders. The role provides confidential executive support, manages calendars, prepares reports, and coordinates meetings, deadlines, and travel logistics.

You will work in a hybrid environment with three days at head office and two days remote, enjoy strong benefits, and contribute to strategy and operations while safeguarding sensitive information.

Qualifications

  • Post‑secondary coursework in an administrative program or relevant field (e.g., Business Administration)
  • 4 – 7 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and apply appropriate judgement with sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Screens and prioritizes incoming correspondences, communicates with members of the executive team, key contacts, and union officials.
  • Manages senior management meeting schedules and calendars, coordinates meetings, and expense reports.
  • Prepares executive and board reports and data on departmental performance, resource allocation, budget status, and HR issues.
  • Attends executive team, management, and other senior level meetings; takes minutes and follows-up on action items.
  • Coordinates the smooth flow of information and determines appropriate courses of action for escalating and addressing urgent matters.

About The Position
  • We are searching for a permanent Executive Assistant to join our team to support our senior leaders.
  • The starting salary will be determined based on a combination of skills, education, and experience. The salary range is $60,000 – $80,000 per year.
