Job summary

Aramark at Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke is seeking a Cook to join our food service operation. You will cook and prepare a variety of items following production guidelines and recipes, and set up workstations with all required ingredients and equipment.

We offer both full-time and part-time schedules with wages between $21.00-$24.00/hour for full-time and $19.00-$22.00/hour for part-time, with immediate start dates and room for growth and training.

Qualifications

• Three years of food service experience; catering experience is an asset.
• MAPAQ Food Hygiene and Sanitation Certificate is considered an asset.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food items following production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Prepare the daily menu.
• Set up workstations with all required ingredients and equipment; prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, slicing, and peeling food items.
• Ensure quantities are accurate and that quality meets Aramark standards.
• Demonstrate creativity while meeting client needs and expectations.
• Optimize food costs.
• Complete production, temperature, waste, and other required records.
• Assist with inventory counts.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with applicable legislation, company policies and procedures, and MAPAQ regulations.

Aramark is currently seeking Cooks for the food service operation at Bishop’s University.

Position: Cook

Location: Bishop’s University (2600 College Street, Sherbrooke, QC J1M 1Z7)

Schedule: Full-time position, variable schedule (35 to 40 hours/week)
Wage: Between $21.00 and $24.00 per hour, based on experience, to be discussed during the interview

Schedule: Part-time position, variable schedule (15 to 20 hours/week)
Wage: Between $19.00 and $22.00 per hour, based on experience, to be discussed during the interview

Start Date: Immediate

Job Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food items following production guidelines and standardized recipes.


• Prepare the daily menu.
