Event Specialist - Oliver and Bonacini Hospitality

Join our dynamic team as an Event Specialist, where you'll manage inbound business inquiries and ensure seamless event experiences. You will guide clients through the event cycle with attention to detail, using tools like Delphi and Social Tables to share accurate event information. Your commitment to exceptional service will delight clients and encourage repeat business. If you’re passionate about events and creating memorable experiences, we want to hear from you!

The Day to Day:

  • Network and build relationships with new and existing clients
  • Communicate with clients, gather event details, prepare packages, and send confirmation details
  • Use sales tools to close leads, including proposals, site tours, and planning meetings
  • Follow up post-events to create opportunities for new bookings
  • Provide superior customer service through client feedback and repeat events
  • Pay attention to details and ask the right questions during event planning
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines for BEOs and respond promptly to client requests
  • Contribute to the team’s sales targets and produce accurate forecasts
  • Share ideas and collaborate with team members to meet venue goals
  • Identify promising business opportunities and present them to management for negotiation
  • Anticipate operational and kitchen needs related to events
  • Maintain a positive attitude and presence within the team and company

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience coordinating various events, including small, large, and high-profile functions
  • Understanding of equipment and event rentals
  • Administrative experience with exposure to marketing and sales
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with self-motivation
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and sales ability
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively under pressure
