Qualifications

• 6 months serving experience required in the last 5 years.
• Food and Beverage test required with 80% or above.
• Pro Serve certification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional food and beverage service at banquet functions, weddings, conferences, meetings, and special events.
• Prepare event spaces by setting tables, arranging chairs, linens, and ensuring event orders are followed.
• Welcome guests with warm, professional, and personalized service throughout each event.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, receptions, and beverage functions with efficiency and care.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of event menus and service sequences to answer guest questions confidently.
• Anticipate guest needs and ensure an exceptional event experience from start to finish.
• Collaborate with Banquet, Culinary, and Conference Services teams for smooth execution.
• Support setup, execution, and teardown of event spaces while maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has just completed a multi‑phase resort transformation, including all new venues, refreshed spaces, and evolving service models. Restaurant, Bar & Guest Services teams will be working in newly renovated spaces, with updated layouts, technology, and guest flow.

Job Description

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge as our new Event server. You will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our Events experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding Food & Beverage offerings will make guests of our restaurants and lounges feel unique and valued.

What You Will Be Doing

• Deliver exceptional food and beverage service at banquet functions, weddings, conferences, meetings, and special events.
• Prepare event spaces by setting tables, arranging chairs, placing linens, and ensuring all event details are executed according to event orders and Fairmont standards.
• Welcome guests and provide warm, professional, and personalized service throughout each event.
• Serve plated meals, buffets, receptions, coffee breaks, and beverage functions with efficiency and attention to detail.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of event menus, beverage offerings, and service sequences to confidently answer guest questions.
• Anticipate guest needs and proactively ensure an exceptional event experience.
• Collaborate with the Banquet, Culinary, and Conference Services teams to ensure smooth and successful event execution.
• Support the setup, execution, and teardown of event spaces while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Monitor event timelines to ensure service is delivered accurately and on schedule.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, resolving issues according to Fairmont service standards.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Uphold the Fairmont brand promise by delivering luxury service and creating unforgettable experiences for every guest.
• Foster an inclusive environment where every guest and colleague feels valued and respected.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
