Event Security Supervisor - Exhibition Center

Pay: $25 / hr

We are currently seeking a skilled Event Security Supervisor to join our team. In this role, Supervisors will oversee, train, and deliver a highly visible and advanced level of security service across various sites within the GTA. The primary focus will be on servicing different locations in Toronto with professionalism, competence, and a courteous demeanor.

Job Duties
  1. Assist with the ongoing development of the on-site team.
  2. Act as a liaison between management and the client, working on-site to provide efficient and appropriate security services.
  3. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  4. Record and maintain logbooks of daily activities, unusual occurrences, and equipment issuance.
  5. Provide security services at various locations, operating security systems, monitoring, and patrolling.
  6. Monitor assigned areas, respond to routine, emergency, and law enforcement calls.
  7. Recognize, investigate, and act on security breaches, fire and safety hazards, prohibited entry, theft, and utility malfunctions.
  8. Represent the client site by providing excellent customer service, answering inquiries, and performing patrols along designated routes. Assist in the movement of visitors and staff.
  9. Inform authorities during security, fire, or health emergencies.
  10. Escort emergency personnel to incident locations.
  11. Screen unauthorized persons and physically remove trespassers or individuals engaging in criminal acts.
  12. Legally arrest individuals and surrender them to law enforcement authorities.
  13. Receive and record complaints, conduct investigations, and prepare incident reports.
  14. Perform emergency response duties as outlined in the Emergency Response Manual.
  15. Collaborate with on-site service providers to maintain a safe environment.
Job Requirements
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Must possess a valid Security Guard License.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of security supervisor experience in Canada.
  • High School diploma or Grade 12 education.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with active listening.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods (up to 12 hours).
  • Wearing steel-toe shoes/boots is mandatory.
  • Fluency in English (listening, speaking, and writing).
