Job summary

Sword Security is recruiting Seasonal Event Security Guards in Hamilton, Ontario to help deliver a safe and enjoyable concert experience. You will be part of the front-line team, enforcing venue rules and assisting guests.

This role offers flexible, pick-your-own-schedule shifts and part-time/seasonal hours. A valid Ontario security licence, First Aid, and Smart Serve are required, with strong communication and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year security experience in Ontario.
• Valid Ontario Security Licence required.
• First Aid certification and Smart Serve licence required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits and crowd movement.
• Conduct bag checks and metal detector screenings.
• Enforce venue rules and ticketing policies with professionalism.
• Assist guests with directions, lost items or inquiries.
• Maintain clear radio communication with team and control.
• Choose shifts that fit your schedule.

Join the team of the leading event security and crowd management organization in Ontario.As part of the front line team, you will play a key role in creating a safe, enjoyable concert experience while maintaining order and enforcing venue rules and protocols.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Monitor entrances, exits, and crowd movementand behaviour
• Conduct bag checks and metal detector screenings
• Enforce venue rules, ticketing policies, and security procedures with professionalism
  
• Provide assistance to guests with directions, lost items, or general inquiries
  
• Maintain clear communication via radios or other devices with the security team and event control
• Flexible working arrangements, select the shifts that work best for you

• Part-Time/Seasonal hours

Key requirements

• A minimum of 1 year’s security experience in the Ontario security sector
• Hold a Valid Security licence, a valid First Aid Cert, a Smart Serve Licence
• Outstanding communication skills
• Have a passion for working with others to deliver a great event experience
• The ability to work weekends
• Ability to work and be on your feet for up to 10 hours
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• Bring a positive welcoming attitude to your role
• French language fluency an advantage

Salary: $20 per hour
