Job summary

Atira Women’s Resource Society is seeking a part-time front-desk worker to support the program manager in maintaining safety and operations at Tawow Hotel– Downtown Eastside, Vancouver. The role involves answering phones, directing callers, and performing routine checks while upholding Atira’s anti-violence and equity-focused values.

You will work weekends (Sat-Sun, 3:30pm–12:00am) and collaborate with a unionized team.

Qualifications

• Proven initiative, judgement and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to develop and maintain rapport with tenants, coworkers and stakeholders.
• Ability to organize and carry out work with independence.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phone and direct callers to the appropriate person.
• Take messages and route to the right staff.
• Perform hourly floor checks for safety and security.
• Conduct health and wellness checks as necessary.
• Assist program manager with building operations and other duties as assigned.
