Job summary

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing, welding, or machine shop environment.
• Strong understanding of welding symbols, blueprint/shop drawing reading, machining processes, and metal fabrication.
• Certifications like CWB (Canadian Welding Bureau) are frequently required.

Responsibilities

• Direct welding, fabrication, and machine shop teams to meet daily output goals while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Manage daily production schedules, assign tasks to welders, machinists, and assemblers, and monitor material flow across departments.
• Lead, mentor, and train shift personnel, resolve operational or staffing issues, and conduct shift handovers with the day team.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of shop machinery, welding equipment, or automated systems.
• Complete shift production reporting, and document any safety incidents or maintenance needs.
