Job summary

District School Board Ontario North East is seeking a custodian at Timmins High and Vocational School. The role involves maintaining the board's buildings with routine cleaning to ensure a safe, clean, healthy environment for students, staff and visitors. Start date is as soon as possible.

Position is 0.75 FTE (30 hours/week) permanent/full-time, with a 3:00pm–9:00pm schedule. A High School diploma or GED and a current WHMIS certificate are required; custodial experience is preferred.

• Abilityto read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals.

• Abilityto use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency, performmedium to heavy physical labor with assistance.
• Musthave physical ability to perform medium to heavy work tasks.
• HighSchool diploma or general degree (GED).
• CurrentWHMIS certificate.
• Experiencein custodial work is preferred.

Compensation

Salary in accordance with the current CUPE collective agreement Collective Agreement - $28.45 per hour
