Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cleaning and/or custodial experience.
• Good interpersonal skills for staff and students.

• Ability to prioritize custodial tasks in assigned areas.
• Full flexibility to come in early or assist on day shifts.
• Must comply with Board policies and Health and Safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of school buildings and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Report malfunctions of heating and ventilating equipment to the Head Custodian.
• Remove debris and dangerous articles from the school; including outdoor areas; remove snow and apply salt.
• General cleaning responsibilities and garden maintenance.
