Job summary

Humber River Health is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to join the Medicine, 9 West Unit in the Acute Inpatient Medicine Program. The position is permanent full time, with an evening shift (15:30-23:30) rotating weekdays and weekends at the Wilson Site.

Competitive hourly rate, union NOWU, and a commitment to equity and inclusion. RPN registration in Ontario and a two-year diploma are required; BCLS and one year of acute care experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program.
• Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Minimum 1 year acute medical/surgical experience preferred.
• Current BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide Registered Practical Nursing duties as outlined by the College of Ontario Nurses.
• Deliver patient care with safety and compassion on the Medicine, 9 West Unit.
• Document care and coordinate with the health care team to support timely patient recovery.
