Humber River Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join the Acute Medicine Unit, 13 East, with an evening shift. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care, teamwork, and evidence-based practice within a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized RPN two year diploma program.
• Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to set priorities.
• Minimum 2 years of recent medical/geriatric experience is preferred.
• Adhere to hospital code of conduct.
• Advance Physical Assessment skills are required.

Responsibilities

• RPN responsibilities for general medicine, geriatric, ALC and palliative patient populations
• Coordination of care within an interprofessional team
• Perform electronic documentation on Meditech documentation system
• Participation in unit based projects or hospital committees as required
• Mentorship for new hires and pre-grad RPN nursing students

Education

Registered Practical Nursing diploma (two year)

Current RPN registration (Ontario)

BCLS certification

Excellent organizational skills
