Job summary

Sienna Senior Living's Spencer House in Orillia is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for a permanent part-time evening shift. The nurse will provide care to residents according to policy and plans of care, under the supervision of the Director of Care.

The role emphasizes building relationships with residents and families, teamwork, and maintaining dignity and comfort. The position requires good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses and may involve supervising Personal Support Workers.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation or senior health is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders and the resident plan of care.
• Utilize sound nursing practice to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members on the unit.
• Perform admission, readmission, change in status and ongoing resident assessments.
