Job summary

GE Vernova in La Prairie is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to act as the technical and operational anchor of the plant, bridging strategy with daily shop-floor execution.

You will lead or support shift 2 activities, drive KPI/OEE, analyze root causes, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with Quality, Planning, and Methods to ensure safety, quality and productivity targets are met.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering.

Responsibilities

• Technical Production Support: Provide immediate technical assistance to production teams to resolve operational bottlenecks in real time.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring failures and implement sustainable corrective actions (mechanical, electrical, or procedural) to enhance equipment reliability.
• Support new processes or production line deployment.
• Operational Performance Oversight: Drive shift performance by closely monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), production throughput, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Identify, quantify, and eliminate bottlenecks to maximize overall productivity.
• Standardize work methods and ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the shift.
• Autonomy and Decision-Making under Supervision: Demonstrate immediate decision‑making autonomy on the shop floor during technical incidents, assessing impacts on safety, quality, and production schedules.
• Lead or actively participate in shift hand-over meetings to ensure seamless operational continuity.
• Contribute to transversal continuous improvement projects by sharing on-site expertise to influence long-term engineering decisions.
