Job summary
Greenfield Global in Chatham seeks a Process Engineer to optimize existing and future technology at the plant. You will analyze plant processes, run trials, and identify initiatives to improve throughput, yield, energy use, cost, quality, safety and environmental performance.
The role requires a chemical engineering degree with P.Eng, 10+ years of experience, and the ability to lead projects, work with suppliers, and develop SOPs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with P.Eng. designation.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience; leadership experience is an asset.
- Experience using AutoCad Plant 3D is an asset.
- Strong problem solving and decision making capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Comply with all Company health and safety, environmental, and quality policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop thorough knowledge of each process area and interrelationships, including mass and energy balance.
- Provide technical assistance to production for trouble-shooting and continuous improvement.
- Support production teams with operator training through team-based improvements.
- Work with chemical suppliers and GET team to optimize operating procedures and product performance.
- Prepare financial justification for capital improvements and manage projects to meet budget and timelines.
