Job summary

Silvera for Seniors in Calgary seeks a Part-Time Community Evening Attendant to support the kitchen during the evening meal and maintain overall site cleanliness and safety.

Reporting to the Culinary Supervisor, you will handle meal setup, assist with food preparation, respond to resident requests, and uphold Health and Safety standards while working 3:00pm–11:30pm on a rotational shift, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
• Maintains high hygiene and personal appearance standards.
• Experience in housekeeping or service industry preferred.
• GED required.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall security and safety of residents and community.
• Perform accounting for residents during evening meals and follow up on absences.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Respond to resident and family requests or inquiries.
• Set up for evening meals and assist with food preparation.
• Use kitchen equipment to prepare food for next-day service.
• Relay accurate shift information and complete checklists.
• Assist with resident incontinence and follow cleaning procedures.
• Participate in and promote Health and Safety program.
• Communicate with assigned community at set times in compliance with Working Alone rules.
• Ensure community cleanliness at end of shift.
• Maintain annual TLC training compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
