Job summary

Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority invites applications for a Health Care Aide at Eriksdale PCH. The position is 0.70 FTE with evening shifts, reporting to the RN/LPN.

You will assist residents with personal care, daily living activities, and support nursing staff under established policies and procedures. Required is a Health Care Aide Certificate; experience in long-term care and knowledge of dementia care are assets.

Qualifications

• The Health Care Aide must be able to function effectively in a dynamic and demanding environment utilizing nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Ability to follow verbal and written communication and maintain confidentiality.
• Demonstrates interpersonal skills within the Respectful Workplace Policy and teamwork with nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meeting client/patient/resident personal needs in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Work under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse to support care delivery.
