Job summary

Interlake-Eastern Regional Health Authority is seeking a Health Care Aide at the Arborg and District Health Centre to join the Acute Care team. The role works under the supervision of Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse to assist with personal care and daily living activities.

The incumbent will perform duties in a dynamic environment, following established policies and procedures, and supporting the health authority's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized Educational Institute.
• Current certification in BCLS.
• Knowledge of activities of daily living and safe patient handling.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding environment.
• Commitment to confidentiality and respectful workplace policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meeting client/patient personal needs under RN/LPN direction.
• Utilize nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Support mission, vision and values of the health authority.
