Job summary

Peterborough Retirement Residence in Peterborough, ON is seeking a Guest Attendant to provide personal care and companionship to residents. The role reports to the Health and Wellness Manager and supports ADLs, safety, and daily activities.

Starting wage is $18.10/hour with a schedule of 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, weekends (Week 1: Saturday; Week 2: Sunday) and approximately 15 hours bi-weekly. Benefits include competitive wages and growth support.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized PSW program.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated understanding and empathy for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs according to the care plan.
• Monitor residents’ well-being and report changes to the Health and Wellness Manager.
• Provide housekeeping, laundry, and recreational activities.
• Document Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Ensure health and safety by following procedures.
• Provide high-quality care with compassion and respect.
• Assist with dining service and admissions/discharges when required.
• Complete medication administration training and assist with medication administration.
