Job summary

Nortera, the North American reference for ready-to-cook vegetables, is seeking a forklift operator at our Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu site. Reporting to the foreman of receiving and shipping, you will move products and boxes using a forklift and help keep the warehouse organized.

Your day includes preparing orders with a manual laptop, loading trailers, verifying counts against the shipping slip, attaching pallets, receiving goods, inspecting crates, and performing safety checks on the forklift.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a forklift.
• Good physical strength and ability to lift 20–50 lb boxes.
• Strong visual acuity and manual dexterity.
• Excellent mathematical ability, especially mental arithmetic.
• Responsible and autonomous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare orders with a manual laptop.
• Load trailers properly (weight distribution).
• Check that the number of boxes and the brand of the product are identical to the number of boxes on the shipping slip.
• Attach the pallets.
• Receive the goods (unloading the trailers) and place them in the warehouse.
• Check crates with dents or no labels.
• Inspect your forklift before using it.
