Job summary

Thermon is seeking a Supervisor, Production to lead the Control Panel Shop, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely manufacture of high-quality control panels. You will manage electricians and assemblers, coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Planning, and drive Lean and 5S improvements while maintaining strong safety and quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years in a control panel or industrial electrical environment, plus 2+ years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a Control Panel Shop or industrial electrical manufacturing environment.
• Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Strong understanding of production scheduling, workflow management, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Basic knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution abilities.
• Flexibility to work adjusted hours, overtime, and weekends when operational requirements dictate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Control Panel Shop to ensure safe, efficient, timely production of high-quality control panels.
• Lead a team of electricians and assemblers, coordinating workflow across departments.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Planning to meet schedules and delivery commitments.
• Monitor production metrics and identify opportunities to improve productivity and quality.
• Maintain accurate production documentation, work orders, and quality records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean and 5S practices.
• Be available for overtime as needed to meet business demands.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to shop personnel.
