About The Role

The Estimator is an integral part of the electrical construction process, responsible for ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and growth. The Estimator I specifically handles cost estimates for various electrical construction projects.

Essential Functions

• Prepare complete cost estimates for substation construction projects
• Monitor and understand project programs to meet deadlines
• Conduct field walk-downs with clients and teams to assess constructability
• Perform field take-offs and evaluations for estimates
• Review project documents for accuracy and consistency
• Participate in estimate review processes with stakeholders
• Assist construction teams in tracking costs throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare and submit change orders
• Follow up post-project to close estimating loops
• Adhere to the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

Qualifications

About You

• 1-3 years of estimating experience
• Red Seal Electrician preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant experience considered

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of local electrical codes
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu and Accubid Anywhere preferred
• Ability to interpret civil, architectural, mechanical plans and specs
• Understanding of electrical materials and installation methods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Team-oriented and self-motivated
