Job summary

Onyx-Fire Protection Services in Mississauga is seeking an Estimating Administrator to transform field reports into clear quotations and pricing for fire protection repairs. You will collaborate with field technicians to ensure accuracy and deliver precise line-item quotations while handling front-desk duties as needed within a fast-paced environment.

The role requires intermediate Excel/Word skills, reliability, and the ability to meet deadlines.

About The Position

Onyx-Fire Protection Services is the fastest growing full-service fire protection company in the GTA. At this time we are aggressively seeking an Estimating Administrator.

Key Responsibilities

• Covert field reports to customer presentable format
• Communicate with field technicians for accuracy
• Prepare quotations for repairs and deficiency rectification
• Apply pricing to materials and labour for fire protection equipment related repairs
• Convert bulk costing to line item pricing
• Perform relief reception duties as required

Qualifications

• General knowledge of quoting and quotation
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Motivated self starter
• Strong English language skills required
• Typing and Computer skills
• Ability to present technical data in clear simple terms
• Willing to work extended hours to ensure quota completion
• Ability to plan for / meet deadlines
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word
• Strong understanding and commitment to the requirements of confidentiality
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to details and the ability to multitask
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• A positive and can-do attitude that enable you to deal with challenging situation with integrity, empathy and sincerity.
• Ability to deal effectively and courteously with all staff, customers and general public
• General knowledge of fire alarm systems and sprinkler system is a strong asset

• Familiar with current NFPA and Ontario Fire Code Requirements is an asset
