K-Tec is seeking an ERP Technical Project Manager for a one-year term to drive the successful implementation with Synergy Business Solutions, focusing on migrations and SOPs. You will work with technical migrations, training staff, and creating SOPs to ensure the integrated system delivers value while minimizing risks.

Strong ERP background with IT project management experience is required; PMP and Six Sigma certifications are preferred.

K-Tec Earthmovers is initiating an Enterprise Resource Planning system for the first time, to accommodate business growth and expansion.

POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The K-Tec ERP Technical Project Manager is a One-Year Term position, who will be interacting daily with one or multiple Synergy Business Solutions representatives and will be the single point of contact for technical Mission Critical activities in the successful implementation of the project. The ERP Technical Project manager will be working with technical migrations, creating Standard Operating Procedures for system users, and training employees to successfully use the integrated system while delivering value and minimizing potential obstacles and risks.

Additional Duties

• ERP Technical background is REQUIRED in addition to IT Project Management experience.
• Establishing and implementing technical project methodologies and processes within work teams relating to ERP and migrations.
• Understand the “inner-workings” of software programming in order to troubleshoot errors for immediate solutions or alerting the vendor.
• Project Scheduling — Ensuring that schedule is followed by the project plan, manage schedule and resource load. Ensure that both vendor and K-Tec are accountable for required actions from a technical standpoint.
• Remain within guidelines of project operation budget on technical infrastructure.
• Strong Business Analytics background, ability to consult with Executives effectively.
• Lead and develop project team members.

1. Change management skills, expertise and/or experience leading a mid-sized implementation.
2. Leadership and management skills including vendor negotiation, vendor management.
3. Decision management, including feature/function prioritization and ROI analysis.
4. Cross-group collaboration skills, ability to work alone and within a team.
5. Previous ERP Project Management implementation is required. Use of Visual ERP is considered an asset.
6. Excellent knowledge of ERP technical infrastructure and migrations is required.
7. Experience managing large technical projects with diverse teams.
8. PMP and Six Sigma certification is desired.
9. Bachelors’ degree in a technical discipline (i.e. Information Systems or Network Management) or Masters’ in a technical or business discipline (i.e. Management). Strong Knowledge of IT computing – software, hardware, and network systems.
10. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal are required.
