The City of Vancouver is seeking a dedicated and experienced Equity Consultant to join our Equity Office within the City Manager’s Department. Reporting to the Chief Equity Officer the primary role of the Equity Consultant is to provide subject matter expertise, guidance, and support to City staff to help advance justice, equity, reconciliation, and inclusion in policies, strategies, programs, and services.
The Equity Consultant works in partnership with City departments on the development and implementation of equity-related strategies, initiatives and programs in alignment with the City’s Equity Framework. The Equity Consultant also provides advisory support to individual employees, supervisors, managers, and human resources consultants on addressing workplace discrimination and inclusion issues. The role represents the Equity Office on various internal and external committees and initiatives.

Where operationally appropriate and subject to change, the City of Vancouver has a Flexible Work Program. This program allows staff to work a hybrid work week from locations that are a daily commutable distance from their work at a City worksite. At this time this position is eligible to be part of the Flexible Work Program.

Salary Information: Pay Grade RNG-080: $97032to $121294per annum. The salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skillset, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and internal equity considerations.
