Job summary

MFE Inspection Solutions Canada is hiring for a hands-on technician to support rental equipment and demonstrations across Canada. The role involves preparing NDT and drone systems, performing maintenance, and assisting customers with technical questions.

The successful candidate will manage inventory, quality testing, and documentation, while learning new inspection technologies in a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

  • College diploma or university degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with NDT, Remote Visual Inspection, environmental monitoring, robotics, automation, or drones.
  • Transport Canada RPAS Advanced certificate is preferred; Basic Operations considered.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare inspection equipment including NDT, drones, robotics, cameras, sensors for rentals and demos.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and testing.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate repairs with manufacturers/partners.
  • Manage inventory, calibration certificates, service records, and logistics.
  • Assist customers with inquiries and operate equipment demonstrations.

What You’ll Do
  • Preparing inspection equipment, NDT, Drones, Robotics, Cameras, ROV, Sensors, and accessories for customer rentals and demonstrations
  • Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, calibration, and functional testing
  • Troubleshooting equipment and coordinating repairs with manufacturers and service partners
  • Managing inventory, equipment records, calibration certificates, and service documentation
  • Receiving, inspecting, cleaning, and processing returned rental equipment
  • Packing, shipping, and preparing equipment for customer deliveries across Canada
  • Assisting customers with rental inquiries, equipment operation, and general technical questions
  • Supporting product demonstrations, training events, and occasional customer visits
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe technical workspace
  • Continuously learning about new inspection technologies and helping improve our internal processes
Position Details

The posted position of this job requisition is an immediate vacancy

  • Location: Toronto, Ontario
  • Salary Schedule: 40 hours per week, 5 days; Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM
  • Recurring Wages: payable via Direct Deposit
  • Physical Ability: safely lift equipment weighing up to 23 kg (50 lb)
Experience we are looking for
  • College diploma or university degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent industry‑specific experience
  • Experience with Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT), Remote Visual Inspection (RVI), environmental monitoring equipment, robotics, automation, or commercial drone systems
  • Transport Canada Advanced RPAS Certificate preferred (Basic Operations certification will also be considered)
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Comfortable using industry and inventory software and CRM software
