Job summary

Sureway Construction Group is seeking experienced Side Hoe Operators for their Fort McMurray operations. This is a seasonal, full-time opportunity involving heavy civil earthworks, mine operation, and aggregate extraction.

Qualifications

• Three to five years' experience as a Side Hoe operator.
• Minimum five years' experience in underground services.
• Must have a personal reliable vehicle.
• CSA approved steel-toed boots with 6” ankle support.
• Able to work 10+ hour days on a 6-on-1 schedule.
• Able to work in physically demanding conditions.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Must complete company and site orientation.

What You’ll Need

• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience as a Side Hoe operator
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in underground services
• Personal reliable vehicle
• CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
• Ability to work 10+ hours per day, 6 & 1 schedule
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (swab-based test)
• Successful completion of Company Orientation and site‑specific orientation
