Job summary

Tag Hardware Systems Ltd is seeking a Material Handler / Equipment Operator to manage shipping, receiving and warehousing tasks. The role involves moving, locating, unloading, and storing materials with forklifts, while accurately picking, packing and loading daily orders.

Candidates must have forklift experience and a safety-minded approach, with strong English communication, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. BC driver license and reliable transport are preferred.

• Experienced in driving sit down and stand-up forklifts
• Current forklift certification, swing reach truck certification is preferred
• Valid BC Driver’s License
• Access to reliable transportation to get to work
• Good spatial awareness and willingness to learn new skills

Responsibilities

• Operate all power operated equipment safely and efficiently
• Move all product safely and efficiently (Including loading and unloading trucks)
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Pick and pack items accurately for shipment, potentially with a forklift
• Label and prepare items for shipping
• Complete required paperwork accurately
• Perform daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure
• Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories
• Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
• Participate in process Improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead
• Mandatory overtime may be required based on workflow
• All other duties as assigned

About the Role – Job Description
3 main duties: Shipping, Receiving and Warehousing. Working under the team lead and reporting directly to the Director Production, the Material Handler / Equipment Operator (Forklift) will be responsible for the accurate moving, locating, unloading, and storing of materials, utilizing a forklift or other power operated equipment. Additionally, this role is responsible for picking, consolidating, packing, wrapping and loading daily orders accurately and efficiently.

• Wage Range - $23.75 per hour
• Monday-Friday, 6am - 230pm
• Operate all power operated equipment safely and efficiently
• Move all product safely and efficiently (Including loading and unloading trucks)
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Pick and pack items accurately for shipment, potentially with a forklift
• Label and prepare items for shipping
• Complete required paperwork accurately
