Equipment Operator / Foreman

Downright Demolition Ltd. is growing and we’re looking for a skilled Equipment Operator / Foreman to join our crew. If you're confident behind the controls and aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Operating a range of equipment including:
  • Mini-excavators, skid steers, and full-size excavators up to 225 class
  • Excavators equipped with thumbs (experience required)
  • Experience with shears or breakers is a strong asset
• Loading and unloading equipment at job sites
• Completing daily pre-use inspections, safety paperwork, and contributing to a culture of safety on site
• Stepping off the machine and assisting with manual demolition using hand tools when needed
• Leading by example and helping supervise a small team to ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment in a demolition or construction setting
• Strong familiarity with using a thumb on excavators
• Comfortable switching between operating equipment and labour tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently or leading a small crew
• Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 or air brakes is an asset)
