Heavy Civil Equipment Operators work under the supervision of the jobsite Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager. Responsibilities include operating equipment such as excavators, dozers, haul trucks, water trucks, etc. The role involves physical labor, including lifting, pulling, digging, site cleaning, and equipment maintenance. Candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen, lift 50 lbs., and prioritize safety. The typical work schedule is 50-60 hours per week.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

• Adhere strictly to safety policies and procedures.
• Must have experience operating one or more of the following: Motor Grader, Dozer, Excavator, Loader, Skid Steer.
• Perform duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
• Conduct daily equipment and tool inspections, ensuring cleanliness and proper shutdown/storage.
• Maintain a clean jobsite.
• Complete tasks efficiently and on time.
• Prepare construction sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or trade training is a plus.
• OSHA 10/30 certifications are preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Work independently or as part of a team.
• Communicate effectively with all management levels.

Working Environment and Conditions

This role involves outdoor work, with exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, wind, sun, rain, and cold weather.

Essential Job Functions

• Lift heavy objects, stand and walk for extended periods.
• Perform strenuous physical labor under adverse conditions.
• Use abdominal and lower back muscles to lift, push, pull, and carry objects.
• Require manual dexterity and coordination.
