Job summary

Waste Connections of Canada is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team. You will operate heavy equipment such as Bobcats, skidsteers, wheel loaders, forklifts and front-end loaders, perform routine inspections and maintenance, and help keep a safe, efficient recycling facility environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience operating heavy equipment.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements.

• Move recycled and baled material to maintain a clean, safe facility environment.

• Performing routine inspection and maintenance on equipment.
• Promoting continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Interacting with customers and Waste Connections employees to determine safe and environmentally sound solutions to service issues.

What We Need From You

• 2+ years’ experience running heavy equipment
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
