Job summary

McCain Foods in Foreston, New Brunswick is seeking an Equipment Operator to support planting, harvesting and farm operations. This temporary full-time role involves operating tractors, irrigation systems and hand tools while maintaining safety standards.

You will work evenings and weekends during peak season, lift heavy items, and collaborate with farm teams in the Florenceville area. A valid Class 5 license and mechanical aptitude are required.

• Experience operating heavy equipment; farm machinery and potato farming experience is considered an asset.

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and proper functioning.
• Operate hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
• Assist with planting, cultivating, harvesting, and sorting potatoes throughout the season.
• Support daily farm operations in the Florenceville region.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

About The Role.

We are currently seeking a Equipment Operator for our Foreston Farm location. This position is based out of the Florenceville area, with daily work taking place throughout the surrounding region.

As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of farm equipment and machinery. This is a physically demanding role that requires operating power tools, performing heavy lifting, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, and working safely around farm machinery. This is a temporary position with the possibility of continued employment.

What You’ll Be Doing.

Compensation Package:

Starting at $21.00 CAD hourly + bonus eligibility + hourly pay differential for applicable shifts
