Job summary

Island Health is seeking a temporary part-time cleaner to perform a range of cleaning duties using specialized equipment. Responsibilities include dusting, vacuuming, shampooing, washing, mopping, stripping, polishing, wiping, bed-making and garbage disposal in accordance with policies.

The role requires effective communication, teamwork, and physical ability to perform duties. This temporary assignment may be extended or ended based on departmental needs.

Job Description

Using a variety of specialized equipment, tools and machines, performs light and heavy cleaning duties, such as dusting, vacuuming, shampooing, washing, mopping, stripping, polishing and wiping; makes beds and empties garbage in accordance with established policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training And Experience

Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
