Job summary

Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) is seeking a Casual Cleaner to support cleaning and sanitation across multiple sites in British Columbia. Using a range of equipment, you will dust, vacuum, shampoo, wash, mop, strip, polish, and remove waste while following established policies and procedures.

Requirements include Grade 10 or equivalent; strong communication and interpersonal skills, plus the physical ability to perform duties.

Job Description

Using a variety of specialized equipment, tools and machines, performs light and heavy cleaning duties, such as dusting, vacuuming, shampooing, washing, mopping, stripping, polishing and wiping; makes beds and empties garbage in accordance with established policies and procedures.
