Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Environmental Services supervisory experience.
• Strong infection control, health and safety knowledge.
• Experience in budgeting and understanding P&L concepts.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking.
• Comfort working in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accountability for personnel management including interviews, hiring, evaluation and sometimes termination.
• Coordinate housekeeping and porter services with emphasis on infection control and safety.
• Manage site budget costs and expenses.
• Develop and follow policies and procedures aligned to site needs.
• Conduct regular inventory of supplies and control costs.
• Ensure staff clock in, report to work, and track attendance.
• Prepare assignment sheets and adjust priorities during shifts.
• Assign keys, radios and beepers; maintain security records.
• Check equipment and instruct staff to fix deficiencies.
• Assist staff to maintain high cleanliness and service standards; train as needed.
