Job summary

Caressant Care is seeking an Environmental Service Supervisor to join our team in Ontario. The role focuses on maintaining facility equipment, fixtures and grounds, with responsibilities for minor repairs and adherence to safety standards.

You will report to the Executive Director and contribute to a safe, clean, and well-run living environment for residents across our sites.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education required.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and carpentry.
  • Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals related to equipment and safety.
  • Must be able to stop, lift and carry items of various weights.

Responsibilities

  • General routine maintenance of the facility's equipment, fixtures and grounds.
  • Perform minor repairs and servicing operations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

What you bring...

Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for general routine maintenance, minor repairs, and servicing operations for the facility's equipment, fixtures, and grounds in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.

Skills and Knowledge Required
  • Grade 12 education required
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, plumbing and carpentry
  • Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions in English
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals related to equipment and safety
