Qualifications

• Food Service Worker Certificate and Food Handler Training Program required (or commit to obtain within period).
• Must be able to read and write in English and follow directions.
• Geriatric LTC experience is beneficial.
• Experience with texture-modified diets and production spreadsheets is an asset.
• Must be able to cope with the physical and emotional demands of the position.

What you bring

• Successful completion of Food Service Worker Certificate and Food Handler Training Program (or commitment to obtain within a specified period, as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Homes Act and its Regulations)
• Must be willing to accept verbal and/or written direction
• Able to cope with the physical and emotional demands of the position
• Geriatric, long-term care experience is beneficial
• Experience in long-term care food service is an asset, including texture-modified diets, therapeutic and production spreadsheets
• Good communication skills, able to read and write in the English language
• Punctual and reliable

The starting rate of pay is $23.03 per hour , and the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
