Job summary

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Aide for temporary part-time work (approximately 1 year) in its Environmental Services team. The role involves cleaning across hospital spaces, applying specialized cleaning techniques, and contributing to a positive patient experience.

The position reports to the Manager, Food Services, Clinical Nutrition and Environmental Services, with 8-hour shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) required.
• Experience with healthcare cleaning procedures and PIDAC guidelines preferred.
• Knowledge of WHMIS and safe handling of chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties under the supervision of the Manager, Food Services, Clinical Nutrition and Environmental Services.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain patient care areas and other hospital spaces.
• Carry out specialized cleaning procedures required for designated specialty areas.

What You’ll Bring

Required

• Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)

Preferred

• Previous experience with Healthcare Cleaning procedures and protocols including PIDAC, and floor care
• Experience working with WHMIS controlledchemicals, knowledge of dilution rates, and usage of Personal Protective Equipment
• Professional cleaning experience
• Meditech Expanse
