Job summary

Collingwood General & Marine Hospital is seeking a Casual Environmental Services Aide to join our Environmental Services team. You will work across hospital spaces, master specialized cleaning techniques, and contribute to a positive patient experience, with 8-hour shifts covering days, evenings, nights and weekends.

We offer competitive hourly wages of CAD 27.77–28.37, plus education funding, vacation in lieu, and benefits support.

Qualifications

• Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
• Preferred: Healthcare cleaning procedures and protocols including PIDAC, and floor care.
• Experience with WHMIS controlled chemicals, knowledge of dilution rates, and usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Professional cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties under the supervision of the Manager, Food Services, Clinical Nutrition and Environmental Services.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain patient care areas and other hospital spaces.
• Carry out specialized cleaning procedures required for designated specialty areas.
