Job summary

Collingwood General and Marine Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to join our Environmental Services team on a casual basis. You will work across hospital spaces, master specialized cleaning techniques, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Join a dedicated team in South Georgian Bay. The role offers 8-hour shifts across days, evenings, nights and weekends, with pay between $27.771 and $28.368 per hour and benefits including HOOPP and vacation in lieu.

Qualifications

• Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
• Preferred: PIDAC cleaning procedures and floor care experience.
• WHMIS chemical handling, dilution rates, and PPE knowledge are advantages.
• Professional cleaning experience and Meditech Expanse familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties under supervision of the Manager, Food Services, Clinical Nutrition and Environmental Services.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain patient care areas and other hospital spaces.
• Carry out specialized cleaning procedures for designated areas.

What You’ll Bring

Required

• Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)

Preferred

• Previous experience with Healthcare Cleaning procedures and protocols including PIDAC, and floor care
• Experience working with WHMIS controlledchemicals, knowledge of dilution rates, and usage of Personal Protective Equipment
• Professional cleaning experience
• Meditech Expanse
