Job description

Our team is growing, and as a result, we're adding a Remediation Project Manager to our group. You will be responsible for driving contaminated downstream sites to closure through your work with a close-knit team of engineering/environmental specialists, professionals, and technical staff.

Responsibilities:

  1. You participate in a team environment, working closely with Project Coordinators, other Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads, and Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers.
  2. You prepare Health and Safety plans and Emergency Response plans.
  3. You prepare proposals and cost estimates, schedule field staff and subcontractors, compile data for, and write reports including conclusions and recommendations.
  4. You are responsible for project accounting, tracking, and reporting requirements under WSP’s Master Services Agreements.
  5. You train junior staff in environmental practices and conduct site visits to ensure safety and technical standards are met.
  6. You interface with clients to ensure needs are met and projects/proposals progress with quality at the forefront.
  7. You collaborate with and support other members of the Remediation Program Management Group in sharing health and safety, project management, project completion, and client service responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  1. University degree or college diploma in engineering or environmental sciences.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in contaminated site assessments; downstream experience is an asset.
  3. Understanding of health and safety procedures in the workplace; a safety-conscious attitude is essential.
  4. Strong field experience is considered an asset.
  5. Knowledge of the BC Environmental Management Act/Contaminated Sites Regulation.
  6. Professional designation is preferred.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $74,000 - $95,000.

WSP Canada provides this compensation range in good faith, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
