Job Title Environmental Inspector Location Toronto, ON CA (Primary) Category Construction Management, Engineering, Project Controls, Project Management, Technical Advisory Job Type Full-time Job Responsibilities (Internal Title : Consulting II) Support Environmental Compliance programs on the Project Provide technical and administrative assistance to Field Services teams and other functions on environmental policies and programs Work in collaboration with stakeholders to monitor contractor activities for environmental compliance within the assigned area Review mapping of environmentally sensitive areas, determine potential impact due to construction activities and monitor compliance on the field Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and mitigate / manage environmental risks through field inspections and monitoring Consult with appropriate agencies regarding environmental issues and monitor regulations Inspection of project sites to ensure environmental compliance with the regulatory standard and procedures Monitor, log and report on environmental requirements of the Project, escalate critical items as required Perform day-to-day project-specific tasks and duties as planned and identified for the project Plan for and execute appropriate means and methods to complete the assigned tasks and duties on small projects or smaller project elements of mid to large-sized projects from inception through to completion Consult with the assigned supervisor / manager or higher to seek guidance and input during the key phases of a project Execute low-risk projects or low-risk elements of mid-sized to large-size projects Complete any tasks assigned by the supervisor / manager or higher in an efficient and timely manner Working Conditions Office-based Qualifications Required Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience in Consulting in area of specialty Education : Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Licenses OR Certifications : Holding recognized certifications in relevant fields as needed Skills and Competencies : Effective skills in Microsoft Office Proficient in other consulting-related software applicable In-depth understanding of prevailing consulting means and methods Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with minimum input from leadership Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal) Equipped to work independently and as part of a team Comtech Group Inc. is committed to providing accessible employment practices that comply with local legislative requirements.
