Placements24 seeks a dedicated Chemical Engineer to join the environmental compliance team in Kimberley, BC. You will ensure plant operations meet environmental regulations, monitor emissions, manage waste streams, and develop strategies to minimize environmental impact.

This role requires a BEng or BSc in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, 4+ years of environmental-focused experience, and strong knowledge of regulations.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in environmental compliance or process engineering with an environmental focus.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting processes.
• Experience with waste management and pollution control technologies.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to work effectively with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and permits.
• Manage and optimize waste treatment and disposal processes.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee air and water emission monitoring programs.
• Develop and implement pollution prevention initiatives.
• Prepare environmental compliance reports for regulatory agencies.
