Job summary

NexGold Mining Corp. is seeking an Environmental Technician Co-op Student to join the Environment team at the Goliath Gold Complex. You will support field programs, sample design and data reporting while working with exploration and project teams on site.

The role emphasizes safety, initiative and timely environmental documentation. The position is site-based, 7:00am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday, with entry-level training provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Co-op program from a recognized College or University in Canada.
• Currently taking a technical degree or diploma in an applicable environmental or related field.
• Competent in using Microsoft suite of products, including data entry platforms.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 15 pounds.
• High initiative and organizational skills in all weather conditions.
• Able to meet tight deadlines with evolving priorities.
• Valid driver’s license equivalent to G2 (Ontario).
• Meets eligibility for grant program funding: Canadian citizen / PR / protected person; legally entitled to work in Canada; enrolled in co-op with course credit.

Responsibilities

• Complete field sampling (surface water, groundwater, stream flow) and ensure protocols are followed and data reported timely.
• Support understanding of environmental performance within the site team.
• Promote company performance to stakeholders as required.

• Assist in preparing internal and external environmental documents.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
