Job summary

ECO Canada is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across environmental services, climate change, sustainability, ESG, and workforce development. You will identify opportunities, pursue RFPs, and lead high-quality proposals with internal teams and external partners.

The role focuses on government, industry, Indigenous organizations, and academics, requiring strong writing, relationship-building, and project coordination.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in business development, proposal development, or project acquisition in environmental services, sustainability, or related fields.
  • Experience identifying/responding to RFPs, grants, funding calls, and procurement opportunities.
  • Proven ability to develop successful proposals or secure funded projects.
  • Experience working with government, funders, Indigenous orgs, academia, or non-profits.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in environmental services, climate change, ESG, and workforce development.
  • Monitor RFP platforms, government portals, and funding announcements for relevant opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and partners.
  • Develop market intelligence on trends, needs, funding priorities, and alignment with ECO Canada capabilities.
  • Support VP, Professional Services, in developing BD strategy.
