Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Senior Managing Consultant in Canada to lead environmental, health and safety consulting efforts, manage client relationships and projects, and contribute to the growth of the Canadian Business Unit. The role focuses on delivering high-quality EHS services, developing business opportunities, and mentoring teams across Canada, the USA, and Europe.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in environmental, health and safety consulting, with a strong background in the engineering and construction industries
• In-depth knowledge of Canadian health and safety regulations and standards
• Proven track record of successfully managing health and safety programs and projects
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to interact effectively with clients and team members
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Well-organized, diligent, and proactive.
• Confident and assertive with strong commercial awareness
• IT literate with the ability to learn and use various data platforms quickly
• Flexible with the ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continual improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage clients/projects across sectors with excellent service delivery.
• Provide broad Health & Safety services at strategic and operational levels within client organizations.
• Offer EHS advisory support to stakeholders in alignment with your technical expertise and those of the wider team.
• Lead and support business development initiatives, creating service strategies and market initiatives.
• Develop tailored EHS proposals to meet client objectives, including methodologies, project plans, team structure, fee determination, quality management, and value-added aspects.
• Oversee planning and management of projects, teams, and client stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
• Mentor Canada’s EHS consultant team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
• Achieve personal net revenue targets aligned to wider business goals.
• Conduct QA/QC checks on relevant work products to maintain high standards.
• Support the wider consulting operations and initiatives.
• Lead overseas bids and projects with occasional international travel.
